Rezumat:   Each programming language has its type system. In simple terms, when the type checking takes place at compile time we call this language statically typed. On the other hand, if the type checking is done at runtime, it is a dynamically typed language. In this paper we present the key di fferences between the two approaches by choosing two general purpose programming languages, one from each category. Erlang is a dynamically typed language with an infrastructure for developing highly available, distributed applications. However for computation intensive tasks for performance reasons a statically typed language would be a better choice. This paper introduces a method of interoperability between Erlang and C++   in the perspective of type systems.
